Kathmandu, December 8: With funding from The Coca-Cola Foundation, the Nepalese Center for Research and Sustainability (CREASION), a non-profit NGO promoting compassion-based development, successfully installed and donated the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular Oxygen Unit and Transplant Center, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.
According to a statement released by Coca-Cola, the installed oxygen concentrator can serve up to 50 patients at a time, delivering 240 liters of oxygen per second. “The pandemic has made us realize the importance of being prepared and equipped with the necessary supplies. We are delighted to have organizations supporting the health sector in this,” Minister of Health and Population Dev Kumari Ghuragein said in a statement.
The handover ceremony took place in the presence of Minister Guragein, TUTH Director Dinesh Kafle, Manmohan Uttam Hospital Executive Director Krishna Shrest, India and Southwest Asia Sustainability (INSWA) and Corporate Social Responsibility Director Rajesh Ayapilla, and Coca-Country Regional Manager Adarsh Avasthi.
